Spartan Wrestling Club Update 12/5

Hello, everyone!
It was a great turnout for our tournament Sunday, and it ran very smoothly thanks to our outstanding volunteers! We had more than 550 wrestlers, and more than 60 of them were Spartans. We hope your child had a great start to the season. This tournament supports all levels of wrestling at FHC, from youth to high school, now including the new girls' program. Thanks to all for your work at the tournament, as well as during setup, bracketing and cleanup. Special shoutout to Julie Graham for her work as tournament director/bracketing guru. Thanks, Julie! If you obtained an AAU coach's card so you could help coach at the tournament (and future tournaments), we also thank you and appreciate your help.

Thanks to having a fifth Sunday in December this year, and all the holidays falling mid-week, we have an off-week for local AAU tournaments this weekend. If you seek wrestling opportunities elsewhere on your own this weekend, let me know if you need your card number to register.
We will continue to take signups for both the Howell North and St. Louis Beginner's tournaments through next Tuesday, Dec. 10. Please have those in by the end of practice Tuesday. You will notice that we have placed envelopes in the registration board for your use. If you can avoid writing on them and just tuck the flap in instead of sealing them, we will just put these back for reuse. Thanks!

If your child hasn't received a club T-shirt and shorts yet, please ask about picking these up at practice tonight so we can finish that task.
