If you haven't signed up to help at the Spartan Kickoff Sunday, there are still spots available. You can sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0f4eaca62ca7f94-spartan1 FYI - If you are working a time slot at the tournament while your child is wrestling, you do NOT count as that child's designated adult. Another parent or adult may accompany your child. If you did not sign your child up to wrestle in our tournament and would still like to, please reply to this email by Monday evening and provide your child's name, your name and a contact phone number. Payment will need to be made by Venmo or brought to practice Tuesday. All registrations must be paid no later than Tuesday. We've said this before, but our tournament is an excellent place for a beginning wrestler to get an introduction to matches and gain context for the skills they are learning at practice. All first-year wrestlers will compete against other first-year wrestlers, so everyone will be learning together! The Spartan Wrestling T-shirts and shorts that were included with the wrestlers' registration will be distributed to the kids at the end of practice Wednesday. They should wear these over their singlets at Sunday's tournament (and any local tournament). If anyone needs to exchange a singlet for another size, please bring it to practice this week. We have been informed of a wrestler or two who have had to quarantine due to contact tracing. Please continue to notify us of any quarantines that are required and of any symptoms or positive Covid-19 test results that we should be aware of. We have heard of no positive cases among wrestlers so far. Next on the tournament schedule is the Howell North Jr. Knights Tournament on Dec. 6. Please register for this tournament just as you did for the Spartan tournament, by replying to this email with your wrestler's name, your name and phone number, and tell me how you will be paying -– Venmo to @LeAnn-Cross (verification phone digits 5007), or by turning the $25 fee in IN AN ENVELOPE MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME AND THE TOURNAMENT NAME at practice. Registrations and payments must both be received by next Tuesday evening, Dec. 1. Practice schedule for the week: Note the change due to Thanksgiving. Practices this week will be Tuesday/Wednesday at normal times. Schedules for the remainder of 2020 are below. More info will come later this week regarding the tournament.
