Spartan Update, February 7 2017

We had 21 wrestlers make it through Districts to compete at Regionals this weekend! Congrats to all!
 
Practice Schedule for the USA Regionals Wrestlers (Please arrive to all practices at 5:40 to set up.):

• Tonight, Tuesday: Practice 6-8 p.m. at Howell North.
• Wednesday: Practice in FHC cafeteria 6-8 p.m.
• Thursday: Practice in FHC cafeteria 6-8 p.m.
• Friday: Weigh-ins at either Fox HS or Mexico HS Sport Complex 6:30-8 p.m. (scratch weight)
• Saturday: All ages begin 9 a.m. (alternate weigh-in 7:30-8 a.m.)

If your son places in the top FOUR, find LeAnn Cross or Julie Graham in the stands to pay the $30 state tournament fee AND order state T-shirts. Each qualifying wrestler will receive one free T-shirt from the club. A second shirt will be available for purchase, as well as shirts for friends and family.

NOTE: All wrestlers receive a one-pound weight allowance for the STATE tournament only.

Singlet Turn-ins

We will have TWO more singlet returns.

Wednesday, 3/8, 6-7 p.m.
OR
Monday, 3/27, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Alternatively, if you do not need your deposit back and would like me to destroy your check, you may return the singlet during school hours to the main office in a bag with your son's name on it (and yours if you have a different last name) no later than Friday, March 31. Please mark it to the attention of Coach Cross. Thanks!

Congratulations on a great season, Mini-Spartans!
The Mini-Spartans celebrated their successes this season at their year-end banquet at Matteson Square Garden, and they showed us their wrestling stances in their group shot at left. Thanks to the Rubinstein family for coordinating and to Coach Jacob for teaching them all season long!
