The Spartans picked up some hardware at the AAU State tournament over the weekend, finishing off the AAU season in style! Mini-Spartan Celebration Next Monday! Minis, please join us at 6 p.m. next Monday, March 5 as we celebrate the end of a great season for the Mini Spartans at Urban Air Adventure Park in Cottleville! Cost is $20 to be paid on site and includes a slice of pizza and cake for the wrestlers (other family members may purchase food on site).Please RSVP to me by Wednesday, Feb. 28 at leanncross99@gmail.com with your wrestler's name, and also let us know if any siblings will be jumping/playing, as well. Minis in attendance will receive their participation certificates. Minis should bring their singlets to the celebration to turn in. (There will be a similar celebration for the Junior Spartans after the USA State Series. Details to come!) Practice Schedule for USA State Series Wrestlers Those wrestlers who are continuing their season by representing the Spartans in the USA State series are invited to attend a schedule of practices this week.Please arrive at 5:30 to all remaining practices to help set up the room.Practice locations may vary between the cafe and the wrestling room based upon the needs of the baseball team, which often uses the wrestling room during its spring season. If you have not signed up for USA Districts yet, please do so tomorrow night at practice so we know who to expect at practices. Practices are only open to wrestlers participating in the USA State series. Tuesday: 6-8 p.m. in the cafe. District basketball is going on, so we have special instructions for this night. Enter the parking lot via the Spartan Lane entrance and park along the lane or in the parking lot behind the cafeteria. You will walk through the courtyard and enter through the cafeteria doors. Please remain in the cafe area and do not travel to any other areas of the school. Please arrive at 5:30 to help set up the mats. Wednesday: 6-8 p.m. in the cafe. This is a trial night and will be continued if attendance is solid. Thursday: 6-8 p.m. in either the cafe or the wrestling room. If at any time you do not find practice in its expected location, please try the other location. Singlet Returns We will do singlet returns for wrestlers who have completed their seasons on the following dates: Thursday, March 1, 6-7 p.m. at practice Monday, March 5, 6 p.m. at Minis Celebration Tuesday, March 13, 6-7 p.m.at practice Monday, March 26, 6:30-7:30 outside wrestling room Monday, April 9, 6:30-7:30 outside wrestling room If you miss all of those dates or if you prefer, you may bring the singlet in a bag to the main office at FHC with Coach Cross' name and your wrestler's name on it.
