Spartan Update Dec. 18, 2017

​What a busy weekend!

The Spartans were busy on all levels over the weekend!

On Saturday, some of our Spartans participated as part of the Howell United dual team that competed in the Bonhomme Duals. This team brought together Junior Spartans, Junior Knights and Junior Vikings to compete as one team. The team finished fifth, and it was a fun learning experience for all involved.

On Sunday, we had a group compete in the Zebra Classic at Lafayette High School. From what I hear, this tournament grew larger than anticipated and there were issues with lengthy delays and late starts for the afternoon session. For those of you who are new to tournaments, rest assured that these types of problems are infrequent and are usually due to a tournament taking more entries than planned for. It is not usually the case.

Also on Sunday, several Spartans competed on the 15U Missouri Martians traveling dual team at the NUWAY Sparty Christmas Duals in Lansing, Michigan. The team finished third overall and Spartans David Cross, Peyton Shepard and Aidan Hernandez earned All-American honors.

Here is this week's schedule. Read carefully: It is a little crazy due to Tuesday's home dual.

Monday 12/18
Minis 5:30-6:45

Tuesday 12/19
Advanced room only 7:00-9:00 (wrestling room). The high school team has a home dual.

Wednesday 12/20
Minis 5:30-6:45 (wrestling room)
Beginner/Intermediate 6-8 (Cafe)

Thursday 12/21
Junior Spartans (Advanced and Beginner/Intermediate) 6-8

We are still planning to distribute online orders and T-shirt orders Wednesday and Thursday. Awaiting delivery confirmation.

No tournament registration deadlines this week.
