Ozark District Tournament, Sunday, Jan. 15 This will be the first leg of the AAU Triple Crown (a special award given to Blue Division wrestlers who win first-place in each of the three Triple Crown events). For the first time in several years, both Blue (experienced) and Gold (first-year) wrestlers will choose weight classes and weigh in for this tournament. All Tots will be considered Gold for this tournament. Please review the flier thoroughly to avoid any mixups about tournament procedures. Note that this tournament is held at two different schools. The Gold tournament will be held at Rockwood Summit High School. The Blue tournament will be held at Lindbergh High School. We will send coaches to both schools. Also note that only Midgets and Novices will wrestle in the morning. Everyone else wrestles in the afternoon session at both schools. Weigh-ins: Saturday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for ALL wrestlers at Lindbergh High School OR Sunday 7-8 a.m. for Gold Midgets and Novices and 11 a.m. - noon for Gold Tots, Bantams, Schoolboys and Cadets. All wrestlers must weigh at or below the weight class selected when they sign up. There is no changing weight classes after the deadline. Example, a wrestler signed up for the 55-lb weight class may weigh up to 55.0, but not 55.1. If you need help selecting a weight class, have your child weigh on the scale at practice and ask a coach's advice.
